Approved by national ministry of personnel, the post-doctor workstation of the SVT Group was officially established in January of 2000. The vice minister Xu songtao participated in the unveiling ceremony on the spot.

Since the establishment of the workstation, with great concern of national ministry of personnel and Jiangsu provincial personnel department and concerted effort and support of the high learning institutions of Nanjing University, South-East University, China University of Mining and Technology, Nanjing Aeronautics and Astronautics University, Communication Engineering University of People's Liberation Army, the workstation has developed rapidly. By year 2003, there are 14 doctors who mainly work in six areas of information and telecommunication engineering, electric engineering, electronic science and technology, environmental science, material science, science of management.

In accordance with the development of the subsidiaries of the corporation, the post-doctor workstation will properly come up with a series of scientific subjects and then select the topics by way of publishing on the Internet for the would-be doctors for reference.

Enough funding for research together with the equipments will be provided for the post-doctors upon their entry to the workstation to ensure the research get on wheels. To date, with the development of research work,,post-doctors' research findings are bringing vitality and promising future for the enterprise.
